Biography It has been several years since Peter Olson earned his MFA in printmaking from David Driesbach at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb. Since that time he has been working as Preparator and Curatorial Assistant at the NIU Art Museum, where he was recently promoted to Assistant Director. Olson has participated in over 150 solo and group shows since undergraduate school at Ohio's Miami University. Within the recent past he has had several solo exhibitions in Illinois: in Bloomington, Evanston, Quincy, Oak Park, St. Charles, Elgin and DeKalb. Recent group exhibitions include the prestigious international Birds in Art in Wausau, Wisconsin (for three years in a row), American print surveys in Kansas and Indiana and a show at Chicago's Printworks Gallery. His drawings and woodcuts were featured in a three-person exhibition entitled Nature As Metaphor with several venues in the Midwest. Other professional activities include giving numerous lectures and printmaking demonstrations as well as contributions to national portfolios and journals. Contact Peter Olson 424 S.
